Cheryl Cole walked the red carpet at the “DLD Starnight” music ceremony in Germany last night.

We’ve become used to seeing Cheryl wear couture lately, but last night she opted for Herve Leger.

She paired her gold strapless embellished dress with gold heels and a sparkling clutch.

Although I do like Cheryl’s shorter do, I would really like her to do something more dramatic with the style.

Cheryl later performed her #1 single “Fight For This Love” and Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas joined her on stage for their duet “3 Words”.

On stage she wore a black Sass & Bide jumpsuit which was heavily embellished with thigh-high mesh cut-outs.

Designer Mary McFadden, who dressed Jacqueline Onassis and Diana Vreeland and is credited as the originator of the modern-day goddess dress, thinks fashion today is utilitarian, indistinct, and cheap. Oh, and we’re also fat.

Rochas is back! A global licensing deal with Italian company Gibo SpA means the once-shuttered label will show its first collection since 2006 this spring. Make way for the next Olivier Theyskens.

Lorraine Schwartz hosts H.E. Yousef Al Otaiba, New York

Beyonce Knowles sure does love big earrings, and they are usually provided by Lorraine Schwartz for B’s red carpet moments. So it was no wonder the gorgeous singer was guest of honour at Lorraine’s event.

Wearing a clinging Hervé Léger gown, B literally takes my breath away. The grey is so understated, and of works well with her Lorraine Schwartz chandler earrings.

“Late Show with David Letterman”, New York

Dakota Fanning wears a very cute navy playsuit with a Chanel necklace. My problem is the heels. They are a bit too sex up for my liking. I would have put her in gladiator flats.

“The Pink Panther 2″ New York Premiere

Aishwarya Rai wore a Alberta Ferretti Fall 2008 black chiffon draped gown with a plunging neckline.

The stunning beauty never fails to impress on the red carpet. She wore her gown with a silver clutch, and a bedazzling diamond necklace.

From the scalloped edges of her white coat, it was easy to tell that Emily Mortimer was wearing Chloé.

The white cotton coat and embroidered white dress, are both from the Spring 2009 collection.

She complimented her dress with gold heels, and a gold clutch, but she mixed her metals opting for a diamond choker and a silver bracelet.

BAFTA Red Carpet Programme, London

Like a trooper Fearne Cotton pose for photos in the snow whilst presenting the BAFTA Red Carpet Programme at the Bafta building in London.

Her multi-coloured sequined dress is very reminiscent of Jennifer Connelly’s Balmain dress, don’t you think?

Tennis lovers suffering from Nadal withdrawal can always get their fix at a Lacoste store (the unruly-haired one may not actually be there, but the place just reeks of clay courts and match points), and shopping there this month comes with a Good Samaritan bonus. At a party at the Fifth Avenue boutique last night hosted by Vogue, Lacoste showed off its PINK line, available now in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Polos, belts, and bags are priced for the times (read: $100 and under), and since 10 percent of the proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, these purchases can probably by counted as charitable write-offs come tax time (NB: no accountants were consulted in writing this blog post). Hey, it’s worth a (drop) shot. Zing!

Gardening is one of the earliest memories I have in my life. Growing up in a family of farmers I started sowing and harvesting at a very young age and have always been deeply fascinated by how nature responds to the care of human beings. I would always enjoy observing and admiring the changing landscapes through the different seasons something that I still find very soothing. says Lauriane

One day I heard about an old house for sale and that it would need restoration. I drove to the site to see it closely and instantly fell in love with the house its energy and mysterious history. My partner and I eventually managed to buy it restore it and move into this beautiful 400-year-old structure. It has taken three years to bring the house and its garden back to life.

One day an old man from the village told us our house was the only survivor after a fire caused by the Swedish invasion in 1637 that completely destroyed the village. Today quartz watches together with my kids I take care of its garden where we cultivate fruits and vegetables that I share with my friends and colleagues. “Just looking”—words that strike fear in the hearts of retail sales staff the world over. But it’s what’s encouraged at Dover Street Market, where Rei Kawakubo has just installed the Trading Museum, an exhibition of archive pieces and one-offs there for the observation. (They actually are for sale if you’re feeling flush, but the emphasis is on appreciation.) A visit to the first-floor exhibition is like a mini-trip to the V&A, not least because Kawakubo borrowed eight cabinets from the museum to display the items, which range from crystal pieces from Baccarat to Stephen Jones hats, archival CDG to items from the label’s recent collaboration with Apple, the Beatles’ license holder. The show is actually a temporary traveling exhibition, opening this week and closing next. Its first stop was in DSM Tokyo, where, apparently, the “just looking” message failed to take hold—almost every piece displayed there sold within a few hours.

Teresa Palmer’s red carpet ride has had its ups and downs.

She was most definitely on a high at the Australians In Film’s 2011 Breakthrough Awards, which was held at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills, California last night.

The young blonde actress looked radiant in a body-skimming Michael Kors Fall 2011 dress – the designer is having an amazing week on the red carpet.

Her plum cashmere racerback tank dress was worn without the patent leather runway belt. The look works either way, but Teresa made the right choice to go without the belt as it gives her look a more relaxed effortless vibe for a night out in Cali.

She looks super sexy in a sophisticated way. I’m really digging this look.

A sexy wavy updo, Jack Vartanian and a Raven Kauffman Couture gold glitter ‘Garbo’ clutch.

BDOTW worthy?

It’s no secret we’re obsessed with street style photos. And from the looks of the runways, we aren’t the only ones. Clicking through Tokyo blogs like Dropsnap.jp and Fashionsnap.com, we noticed a strong link between the snapshots from Harajuku and Shibuya and the trends that emerged in the Spring 2010 collections. Denim-on-denim? Boho layers? Post-apocalyptic chic? The kids in Tokyo did them first. Designers get their ideas from all over and filter them in their own ways, but there’s no denying that these young Japanese women (and men) know what’s hip months, sometimes years before the rest of us, and they’re as influential now as they’ve ever been.

Click for a slideshow and let us know below, do you see the similarities?

Jessica Simpson graces the cover of Glamour US September 2009 wearing a Gucci Fall 2009 ombré spotted pattern silver and black embroidered spencer jacket which we first saw on Sienna Miller at the GI Joe Japan premiere.

This is her first cover since Tony Romo broke up with her on the eve of her 29th birthday. The interview took place before the breakup, were she discussed her relationship, her weight and her new VH1 reality series, ‘The Price of Beauty.’

On relationships: “I don’t regret anything I’ve gone through…. I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that my life, as it is now, doesn’t change. I’m very happy and comfortable—it’s a great place to be in. If this article comes out and we’re not together, I’d still love [Tony], and he’d still be a huge part of who I am today.”

After a prolonged toe in the water with her collections for Gap Kids, Stella McCartney launched her own children’s collections today. The line, which includes boys’ and girls’ clothing, from tees to outerwear, and one very yellow pair of rubber wellies, will be available at McCartney stores and online at www.stellamccartneykids.com. But the biggest surprise for those used to browsing in Stella boutiques will be the prices: The new collection costs roughly the same as the ones for Gap Kids did, from $20 for tees to around $150 for outerwear. (The adult collection hanging nearby, alas, is as designer as ever.) “I wanted this first collection to include basic pieces that are comfortable and that address a child’s needs, without sacrificing the fun and carefree elements,” McCartney, whose fourth child is due within the month, said. Spills, falls, rips, and tears, in other words, should be OK (if not necessarily encouraged) in her striped floral tees, updated majorette jackets, a reindeer intarsia sweater and sweater dress longtime fans will recognize as a holiday version of one from her Fall ‘07 mainline collection, and an adorable fox-printed sweatshirt in organic cotton, online sales of which will benefit Meat Free Monday, the vegetarian organization founded by Stella’s pop, Paul. Click below to see the video McCartney created for the new capsule collection.
